The Advanced Target Pointer Illuminator Aiming Laser (ATPIAL) is a rugged, combat-proven and easy-to-use aiming system featuring infrared and visible aiming lasers as well as an infrared illuminator. With a fix illuminator, the ATPIAL-C meets the requirements to be a available on the commercial market while still reaching out to 150 yards. While the version of this laser used by the military is a class IIIb, this is the class 1 version. Class 1 lasers have a 0.7 mW rating and can reach out to 450 yards. These units are manufactured in the same factory as the PEQ-15 giving it the same programmed settings, reliability, slaved lasers, and form factor as that of the PEQ-15 except with the class 1 rating. Compatible with an standard Picatinny rail, this lasers can sit at the 3, 9, or 12 o'clock while still staying tight to the rifle and out of the field of view of the users sight picture.
